Who Am I?

I'm a struggling writer who recently decided to try freelancing full-time. I left my 'real' job in television after 24 years in the business. My husband and I just moved to Northwest Arizona from Kansas City Missouri in August. Up until the time we moved, I'd lived in Kansas City my entire 47 years, so this is a big change for me. We came out here on a wing and a prayer. So far, I'm loving it. Now if I could just get my freelance writing career off the ground, all would be good.

I've got a few blogs, Thrifty Shopping, Arizona's Route 66, an American Idol fan blog, a Survivor fan blog, a blog about my jewelry making, and a mixed-bag blog. I recently got remarried, to my best friend, in July. We both had troubled marriages, and became each other's sounding boards. When we were both in various stages of our divorces, we talked about us. We decided we'd give us a shot, and we've now been together as a couple for just over 2 years, and married just a couple of months. One of the reasons we moved to Arizona was so that we could have a fresh start together. He's originally from Indiana, and moved to Kansas City to be with me.

Between us we have four boys ~ two human and two furbabies. The two human ones are his, 24 & 19, and they are currently still living in Indiana. The two furbabies are mine, both cats.

When I'm not writing, I make jewelry. I also like to read, watch TV (especially reality shows like Survivor, Amazing Race, and American Idol) and movies. I enjoy going to yard sales, flea markets and auctions.
