Not a good week

Not a good week

So far, this has not been a good week, and it's only Tuesday.  I lost 4 of my writing eggs this week.  Sucks, because we really need the money.  My hubby and I moved across the country about 2 months ago, quitting our jobs in the process.  Initially I wasn't planning to get a 'brick & mortar' job in our new location.  I was going to concentrate on my writing.  Now, I'm not so sure that's feasible.

Hubby hasn't had any luck getting a job yet either.  So, almost two months and nothing coming in except the little bit I'm getting from writing.  Now that's being cut back, so we'll have even less coming in.

He's had a few interviews, and one looks promising, but they told him they wouldn't have any definite answers for at least another week or two.  I had applied for a part-time job with the library here, but that was a no-go.  I'm not quite sure what they were looking for.  I made it to the interview stage, and I thought that went very well, but I guess it didn't.

This is a small town, and unless you've got nursing or medical experience, or industrial experience, jobs are few and far between.  Hubby falls into the industrial category, and there, competition is fierce.  The one job that looks promising, they told him they had over 400 applicants.

Things have got to get better soon.
